This page explains what information beaphan.us collects, why, and what you can do about it. It's written to be read, not to be survived.

This site is operated by Bea Phan ("I", "we"), based in California, United States.

What is collected
When you send an enquiry
The contact form asks for your name, brand, email address and a message. This is used solely to reply to you and to discuss potential work. It is not added to a mailing list and is never sold or shared for marketing.
Enquiries currently arrive by email at collab@beaphan.us, which is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a personal inbox.
Analytics — only if you agree
With your consent, this site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the page. Clarity records anonymised session data: pages viewed, scroll depth, clicks, approximate location (country/city level), browser and device type, and a replay of mouse movement and interaction.
No analytics script runs until you press "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner, nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your mind at any time via Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
Clarity masks text entered into form fields by default, so what you type into the enquiry form should not appear in a recording. Please don't enter sensitive personal information into the form regardless.
Automatically, by the host
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to serve the page and to protect against attacks and abuse. This is necessary for the site to function and happens regardless of your cookie choice.

If you decline after previously accepting, the Clarity cookies are deleted from your browser.
Third parties
A handful of external services are involved in delivering this site. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, image storage and email forwarding.
- Microsoft Clarity — analytics. Only loads with consent.
- TikTok — the portfolio videos. TikTok's player only loads when you click a video. Until then, you see a still image hosted on this site and TikTok receives nothing. Once you click, TikTok may set its own cookies and receive your IP address, under its own privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces used on this site are loaded from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. See the note below.
A note on fonts. Google Fonts are currently loaded from Google's servers. Some European regulators and courts have taken the view that this constitutes a transfer of personal data (your IP address) requiring a legal basis. This is disclosed here for transparency. If you would prefer the site made no request to Google at all, let me know at collab@beaphan.us.
Where your data goes
This site is operated from the United States, and the services above are largely US-based. If you are in the UK, EU, or elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your own country.
How long it's kept
- Enquiries — kept for as long as needed to reply and to manage any resulting working relationship, then deleted on request.
- Analytics — retained by Microsoft Clarity according to its own retention schedule, generally around 13 months.
- Your cookie choice — stays in your browser until you clear it.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EU (GDPR)
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how it's used, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew it.
The legal bases used here are consent for analytics, and legitimate interests for replying to enquiries and keeping the site secure and working.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing.
Your personal information is not sold, and never has been.
Everywhere else
Wherever you are, you can email collab@beaphan.us and ask what is held about you or ask for it to be deleted. Requests are honoured regardless of whether local law requires it.
Children
This site is aimed at brands and businesses, not children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, email collab@beaphan.us and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
If this site changes what it collects, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
